GeoHECRAS Introduction

This one-hour online live course is your starting point to learn all about how GeoHECRAS can optimize your HecRAS analysis.  We will cover how to integrate maps, digital LIDAR data, roughness coefficient maps (published by USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service), automated cross section delineation and all other input required to create highly detailed HecRAS-based hydraulic analysis.

This is a must have course for those who are new to HecRAS or simply are ready to move to a GIS-based HecRAS solution which automates and eliminates tedious calculations and data look ups.

Availability:  This course is live and will have additional attendees present during the course.

Participation:  During the course, we do accept questions via text.  We do not allow attendees to utilize their microphone.

Environment:  You will be able to follow by watching our computer screen as we navigate through an actual project and share a step-by-step approach regarding how best to utilize the software to solve engineering tasks.

Prerequisites:  A conceptual understanding of hydrology

CEU’s:  This course provides one hour of continuing education (CE).  A diploma regarding attendance to this course will be provided once the course has been completed.
